Watch the brainpop video on conditioning (click on science and then ecology and behavior) The Director talks about how children are taught using conditioning. How does the explanation of conditioning in the video connect to the teaching methods described in the book?
The Giver
Watch the brainpop video on adolescence (click on health and then genetics, growth and developmtn) Jonas is 12 - right in the middle of adolescence. How do the rules of the community affect him during this time in his life? How do you think he will react? What do you think will happen if he starts to have romantic feelings for someone?
the rules that affect the time of his life is that everything is diffrent like for example families are only supposed to have 1 boy and 1 girl and thats the only thing that diffrent from our world is we dont have any family rules i guess the way he reacts is going to be a bad way. I think the thing that would happen that if he gets romantic feelings that hes gonna get in trouble by his parents.

ReplyDeleteI think the rules of the community affect him at this time of his life is that he is afraid and feels like no freedom. I think he will react by making bad faces and shouting alot about what he want to do and not to do. I think if he starts to have a romantic feeling to someone is that he will dream alot about the girl and keep it to himself.

ReplyDeleteIt affects him because when Jonas started to fell stirrings or emotions for Fiona the girl he likes, that was not allowed because there was this rule that says that when the childrens start to feel stirrings they have to take pills so the stirrings coul go away. That will make him sad because he could not think about marry the girl he likes in a future and also in that world the people has to aply to get a wife or husband and it takes like 3 or 4 years. If Jonas start to have romantic feelings for someone then he could be released and send Elsewhere and he will never se again the girl he like.

ReplyDeletewell in the story it says that when you are falling in love you take this special pill so he/she will not be in love because i think that they are too young to be in love. what i think about when jonas falls in love i think that he will have a dream about the girl he likes it probly might be unusally because he need fell in love with a girl before.

Deleteel acondicionamiento con el video de brain pop es de same por que en el libro disen que cuando estaban dormido les ponian imagenes para fomentarles un miedo y que no pudieran leer libros y otras cosas por que el miedo que ellos tenian era que se dieran cuenta de la verdadera realidad y como es la vida con amor por que para ellos el amor es un estorbo ellos piensan que cuando se enamoran no pueden serguir cresiendo y que la religion es un estorbo es por eso idea fundamental del libro y en el amor las personas como dige antes que si se enamoran no pueden pensar con la misma cabesa fria de antes tinene que ser diferrente ellos tienen mas ideas erroneas y se distraen mas por eso es que fomentan la prostitusion para que liberen estre y que para que no se enamoren que vivan en relacion libre en español marinovios en english friends with benefits ellos tanbien asen conparaciones bastantes con el mundo real por ejemplo jhon el hijo del director es el salvaje el pecado de utopia por que nacio de una manera de dos personas no de una maquina el es el pecado para ellos asi ees el mundo real cuando un nino nace fuera del matrimonio es el pecado y lo ben como el bastardo como en no reconocido o tanbien no solo eso si no que tanbien el que cuando 2 jovenes tienen un hijo no deseado susede lo mismo ese es mi punto de vista perdon por aserlo en español pero tengo mas palabras
